Sarah

Dr Harrison is an Assistant Professorial Research Fellow in political science at the London School of Economics and Political Science where she received her doctorate in the department of Government in 2010. She works alongside Dr Michael Bruter on the world’s largest project in electoral psychology entitled “Inside the Mind of a Voter” that is funded by the European Research Council. The project is centred upon multiple innovative research methods including experiments, mass surveys (including some with panel study designs), on-the-spot- and in-depth interviews, focus group, and narrative diaries among other techniques. These diverse combinations of quantitative and qualitative methods have unique research designs that are used to capture the psychology of voters across several continents. She has published widely on extreme right politics, youth participation, identity and perceptions, research methods, and electoral psychology.
